Debate: Organic food
From Debatepedia
[Edit] Is organic food healthier and generally more beneficial than non-organic foods? |
[Edit] Background and contextOrganic food is defined as food that is made without the use of fertilizers or pesticides, free from waste contamination and is processed without using irradiation or food additives. Since 1990s, production of organic food has increased by an average of 20% every year and now accounts for 1-2% of the world's food production. The question is whether this is all a good thing? Should individuals actively seek to eat organic foods? Should governments promote them? See Wikipedia's article on organic foods. |
