[Edit] NoMajority of students don't like studying Swedish because they feel that they don't need Swedish in their life. Swedish is only spoken in Sweden by approximately 9 million people. Students' frustration on Swedish classes makes it really difficult for the teacher to teach. Learning during the classes can't be effective if majority of the students don't even want to learn. Instead, some students may disturb the classes even in upper secondary schools. If studying Swedish was made compulsory, it would make studying much more effective. However, studying foreign language (other than English) should be mandatory in upper secondary schools but the students should have a possibility to choose from e.g. Spanish, Russian, German, French and Swedish. |
