Debate: Force feeding prisoners on hunger strike
From Debatepedia
[Edit] Background and contentHunger-strikes are a very old technique for protesting conditions at prisons or elsewhere. Yet, some argue that prison guards should have the right to force-feed individuals that go on hunger strike. Is this is a necessary means to maintain the safety of prisoners (sometimes against themselves), or is it an unfair violation of individual rights and of the ability of individuals to express a grievance? |

[Edit] Proyou have to feed these prisoners. if you let them continue with their hunger strike, then they will die. if this person had lived, they may have learned the error of their ways, they may have gone back into the free world, and made a difference. they may have become a motivational speaker, or a police officer, or a surgeon; someone that could make a valuable contribution to society.
